About this policy
Good Chime is an hourly and half-hourly chime app for iPhone and iPad, developed by SYSCODE (“we,” “us,” or “our”). This policy explains how information is handled when you use the app.
Data on your device
Good Chime stores the information needed to provide and remember your chime settings on your device, including:
- Chime times, enabled schedules, and sound settings.
- Notes you choose to add to a schedule.
- Your language, voice, time-format, and reporting preferences.
This information is used to display your schedules, play audio previews, and schedule local notifications. The app does not transmit it to us or to a developer-operated server.
Good Chime does not require registration and does not access your contacts, photos, location, camera, or microphone.
Notifications & audio
Good Chime requests permission to deliver notifications and play notification sounds. Notifications are scheduled locally through iOS; they do not require a remote push-notification service. Chime and spoken-time audio files are included in the app and played on your device. The app does not record your voice or send text to an online speech service.
If you add a note, it may appear in a notification, including on your Lock Screen, depending on your iOS settings. You can edit or clear notes in the app and control notification previews in your device’s Settings.
You can change or revoke notification permission at any time in Settings under Notifications > Good Chime. Disabling permission prevents the app from delivering its scheduled chime notifications.
Retention, deletion & your choices
Your app settings and notes remain on your device until you change them or delete the app’s data. You can edit or clear individual notes and change your chime settings within Good Chime.
To remove the app and its locally stored data, use Delete App in iOS. Offloading the app keeps its documents and data. Copies in device backups may remain until those backups are removed or replaced; manage these separately through Apple’s backup settings.
SYSCODE cannot access or delete information stored only on your device. If you have contacted us by email, you may request deletion of that correspondence by writing to the address below. We retain support correspondence only as long as needed to address your request or meet applicable legal obligations.
Children’s privacy
Good Chime does not require users to provide personal information, regardless of age. We do not knowingly collect personal information from children through the app. If you believe a child has sent us personal information through support correspondence, please contact us so we can address it.
Changes to this policy
We may update this policy to reflect changes to Good Chime or our privacy practices. The latest version will be published on this page with a revised “Last updated” date.
